Power of the Arts
Formed in response to the large and spirited reaction to a 2009 program on the role of arts and culture in revitalizing communities (sponsored by the Raymond John Wean Foundation with the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley and The Youngstown Foundation), Power of the Arts has included the direct input of over 500 people representing visual arts, performance arts, literary arts, and design arts as well as representatives of commerce, public service, and private business.

In July 2012, a study was released showing the impact of the arts industry in the Mahoning Valley. Findings revealed the number of full-time jobs supported and tax revenues generated by our regional arts sector. Links to media follow:
