- Take your time to mourn.
- Remember how the person impacted your life.
- Have a funeral that speaks to their personality.
- Continue their legacy.
- Continue to speak to them and about them.
- Know when to get help.
How long does it take to accept someone’s death?
There is no set timetable for grief. You may start to feel better in 6 to 8 weeks, but the whole process can last anywhere from 6 months to 4 years. You may start to feel better in small ways.
