Why are beliefs so powerful?
Beliefs are powerful because what you believe to be true is true for you, no matter how your belief plays out in the real world. A good example: the placebo effect. Since many of my athletes often ask me about my own personal beliefs, I thought I would put them on paper.
What’s your belief system?
Your belief system is the invisible force behind your behavior. Humans accumulate thousands of beliefs throughout our lifetime, about all aspects of life. We gain them through things that other people say to us, things we hear on the news, things we read, or any other external influences that we are exposed to.
How do you get rid of belief?
6 Steps to Get Rid of Your Limiting Beliefs
- Write out Your Negative Beliefs. Write out the negative belief you have, verbalize it, and accept it’s a fear of yours.
- Determine what instilled these beliefs.
- Determine your new positive belief.
- Look for evidence.
- Think of the worst case & how you will overcome it.
- Recite Affirmations.

Empowering Beliefs are beliefs we have about ourselves which are helpful, positive and accurate. Empowering Beliefs give us power because they affect our thoughts, feelings and actions. They help us to take positive action and feel good about ourselves.

Beliefs can also influence health behaviors. Research suggests that people are more likely to engage in health-promoting behaviors like eating well and exercising if they have a greater sense of self-efficacy—that is, if they believe that they are capable of effectively performing these behaviors.
